Jason Oppenheim and his girlfriend Marie-Lou Nurk have split after almost a year together. Their split comes shortly after Nurk appeared on the sixth season’s Selling Sunset.

Nurk was Oppenheim’s first public relationship after splitting from Selling Sunset co-star Chrishell Stause. Stause is now married to musician G Flip.
Oppenheim, 46, took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, sharing a seaside photo with Nurk and explaining his reasons for the couple’s split. He currently has a pinned post on his profile from the duo who posed together 32 weeks ago.

Oppenheim’s post said: “While we still love and care deeply for one another, the distance between us has proved too great a challenge for us to overcome. We remain close friends, continue to talk and support each other often and want the best for each other. We thank everyone for their support throughout our relationship,” he concludes with a heart emoji.
According to Nurk’s Instagram bio, the model lives in both Paris and Los Angeles.
The 25-year-old model posted the same image on her Instagram story but added a different emoji.
The couple’s split comes just months after Nurk spoke to Oppenheim about having children

In April, we shared Nurk’s thoughts on one day having children with Oppenheim; Oppenheim was unsure about becoming a father during his time with Stause, which reportedly contributed to their breakup.
According to our report, Nurk was asked in a question-and-answer session on Instagram if she would like to have children in the future.
She said, “…It’s not a decision to be made lightly and I believe having the right partner is important before you even consider having children.” Nurk continued, “To the question to answer: Yes, I would like to have children one day, but only with the right partner and when we are both ready for this journey.”

We also took a look at Nurk’s thoughts on the couple’s long-distance relationship and how they dated during the breakup. Nurk also answered this question in an Instagram question-and-answer session.
Nurk said, “We both knew from the start that I had to move back because my job, friends and family were here (Paris).” She added, “Long-distance relationships can be difficult, but we’re committed to making sure that.” it works out. We communicate regularly and despite the distance, we make time for each other.”

The model also praised Oppenheim for being so supportive of her dreams as an individual.
“While [the distance] It’s not always easy, we both believe that our love is worth the effort. I’m grateful to have such a supportive partner who understands my goals and passions,” Nurk continued in the post. “Ultimately, it’s important to follow your heart and pursue your dreams, even if that means taking risks and embracing challenges,” Nurk concluded with a double heart emoji.
Nurk also revealed her beliefs about how relationships can remain successful against all odds.

“…a relationship isn’t about staying interesting or desirable to your partner,” Nurk added in another Q&A Instagram Story slide. “It’s about staying true to yourself, communicating well, and supporting one another through the ups and downs of life,” she said. (according to The Blast)
