On the afternoon of last Friday (31/03), a boa constrictor was rescued by municipal guards from the Special Group for Environmental Defense (Gedam) in Maricá, in the Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro. The snake was in a residence on Rua 5, at Morada das Águias, in Itaipuaçu.

The agents were triggered by residents, via the Security Operations Center (Ciosp). Upon arriving at the scene, they found the snake, about 2.5 meters long.
The animal was in a room of the house and was contained in an enclosure by the resident himself until the arrival of the specialized rescue team.
The boa constrictor was captured, without any type of injury, and returned to its natural habitat, in a forested area in the neighborhood itself.
