Jonathan Majors arrested for allegedly assaulting woman in New York

Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York on Saturday on allegations of domestic violence after an argument with a 30-year-old woman.

According to a statement from the NYPD, the woman told officers she was assaulted and taken to the hospital with “minor injuries to her head and neck.”

A representative of the majors rejected the allegations.

“He has done nothing wrong,” Majors’ spokesman said in a statement diversity. “We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.”

Police said officers received an emergency call around 11:14 a.m

“A preliminary investigation has revealed that a 33-year-old man was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman,” police said. “The victim informed the police that she was attacked. Officers took the 33-year-old into custody without incident. The victim suffered minor head and neck injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.”

The police statement listed several possible charges: “strangulation”, “assault” and “harassment”.

The actor recently starred in several major studio films. He played Damian Anderson in “Creed III” opposite director and co-star Michael B. Jordan. He also recently played Marvel villain Kang the Conquerer in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. His latest film, which originally premiered at Sundance, is titled Magazine Dreams, which was acquired by Searchlight Pictures and is slated to hit theaters December 8th. The actor has also signed on to join Amazon Studios’ Da Understudy.
