Juror talks about “cult mother” Lori Vallow Daybell – Crime Online

An alternate juror in Lori Vallow Daybell’s trial shares her perspective on the case, calling the woman convicted of murdering her children a “monster” in an interview with FOX 10.

Last week, Lori was convicted in Idaho of murdering two of her children and conspiring to murder the wife of her then-lover and now-husband Chad Daybell.

The two children, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old JJ Vallow, went missing in September 2019. Chad’s previous wife, Tammy Daybell, died in October 2019, shortly after the kids went missing, and Chad and Lori just married weeks after that.

According to NBC News, prosecutors claimed the couple held “doomsday beliefs” and claimed to have seen zombies and other demonic manifestations.

After the sentencing, FOX 10 spoke to a woman named Tiffany, who monitored testimony from 60 witnesses for nearly six weeks. Tiffany ultimately did not attend the deliberations as she was chosen at random to act as deputy, but spoke about what touched her most about the process.

“It was probably the more emotional testimonies that caught my eye [Vallow’s] “Son Colby and her sister,” Tiffany told FOX 10. “I just listen to how they talked to her in jail and how emotional they were and I can feel the impact it’s had on their lives.” She has Destroyed so much around her and just destroyed her relationships with her family and there’s no indication she realized that over the phone.”

One of the most difficult aspects of the trial for Tiffany was seeing pictures of JJ and Tylee’s bodies being shown in court. The children’s bodies were found in shallow graves on Chad’s property near Rexburg, Idaho, in June 2020. At the time, her mother was in custody for obstruction of justice and abandonment of her children.

“And I started crying when they brought the tissues and plastic bags that they wanted to put in the pictures,” Tiffany told the TV network.

JJ’s body was found wrapped in plastic and duct tape, while Tylee’s remains were burned and not clearly visible.

Tiffany also recalled seeing Lori and Chad’s wedding photos from Hawaii.

“I looked straight at Lori. I hope she could look over at me and see my evil eye because I was… . . It really showed what a monster this woman is,” Tiffany, who has a teenage daughter, told FOX 10.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, a juror who attended the deliberations and voted in the case also spoke.

Lori was charged in Arizona earlier this week with conspiracy to murder her niece’s husband in 2019, the same year she murdered Tylee and JJ and plotted the death of Chad’s then-wife.
