Keanu Reeves is said to have given the stunt crew of “John Wick 4” this gift

Keanu Reeves really appreciated his John Wick: Chapter 4 helpers!

Known as one of the most generous celebrities, the actor showed that side when he gifted the film’s stunt performers hilarious but unforgettable shirts. The t-shirts listed the number of times each stunt performer had died during the Hollywood project, which was over 20 for some. The move comes a few years after he reportedly celebrated the end of production by presenting Rolex Submariners to members of his stunt team.

While earning the “Nicest Guy in Hollywood” badge is no easy feat, Reeves has continued to maintain that status. Fight coordinator Jeremy Marinas shed light on his latest act of kindness during a recent chat about scenes from the action movie.

Marinas focused on the fight scene, which takes place on the steps of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Paris and involves 35 stuntmen, and began:

“Of course it’s as if that’s what you want. You want 100 guys to fall down the stairs and you want me to do every reaction and fall differently. Of course you do. It was like we were fair [at] another day at work.”

The cast and crew spent seven nights filming the stair fight, with each stunt person likely being “killed” four or five times. Their efforts were not in vain, the coordinator added The Independent:

“At the end of filming, Reeves made t-shirts for the stunt performers that displayed the number of their kills throughout the film.”

Reeves first showed his gratitude for his on-screen fighters when he invited four of them over for dinner after filming for the fourth installment in the franchise in 2021.

There, the Canadian superstar reportedly gave each guest – Jeremy Marinas, Li Qiang, Dave Camarillo and Bruce Concepcion – their very own Rolex watch, one of which is estimated at nearly $10,000 (£7,000).

Fans are excited to see what the My Own Private Idaho indie star would do for his stunt team following the incredible success of John Wick 4. The Blast shared this The film, which released on Friday, March 24, became an absolute hit, grossing $73.5 million in its opening weekend – its highest yet.

Overseas, the neo-noir film grossed an additional $64 million, bringing its worldwide total to a whopping $137 million. In addition, it has a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes, a 78% score on Metacritic, and a 96% audience score.

The explosion reported that Reeves, along with franchise director Chad Stahelski, publicly addressed the loss of his “John Wick” co-star Lance Reddick after he died of natural causes at his home.

Up until his death, Reddick was a familiar face in the franchise, having played the character of Charon in all four episodes. In the joint statement, Reeves and Stahelski wrote:

“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick. He was the consummate professional and a pleasure to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, his family and friends.”

After revealing that the latest installment in the franchise would be dedicated to the Resident Evil star’s “loving memory,” the duo concluded they “will miss him dearly.” Other co-stars then paid tribute to the White Men Can’t Jump actor, with Ian McShane expressing his “total shock and disbelief” at the sad news.

The 80-year-old, also known as the “White House Down” star, is “a wonderful person and a wonderful colleague”. Reddick’s The Wire co-star Wendell Pierce praised him for being “a man of great strength and grace,” adding:

“The epitome of class. A [sic] sudden unexpected sharp painful sorrow for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Thank god my friend. You have made your mark here. REST IN PEACE.”

The death of the “Bosch” actor was confirmed by his rep, who asked viewers to give his family some privacy and respect as they mourned their loss. Reddick is survived by his wife, Stephanie, and their two children, Yvonne Nicole and Christopher.
