Kerri-Anne Kennerley opens up about her shocking exit from ‘I’m a Celeb’ and says there was ‘selective editing’

Kerri-Anne Kennerley Opened Up About Her Time in the Jungle in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! after her surprise exit and clash with rival Domenica Calarco.

The 69-year-old TV icon appeared on 2DayFM’s ‘Hughesy, Ed and Erin’ show this week and claimed there was ‘selective editing’ on the show.

When asked if she “regrets leaving the show,” Kerri-Anne said firmly, “What people didn’t see was the most appalling and I think people would be shocked if it was selectively edited.”

She added, “I don’t need to be trolled or coerced and that’s all I have to say.”

Kerri-Anne left the jungle sensationally after Domenica Calarco of Married At First Sight called her “the most self-absorbed bitch she’s ever met” during a heated argument.

It was later revealed that Dom also called KAK a “shit” for refusing to take part in an eating challenge – although that moment was cut from the show.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph’s “Sydney Confidential” soon after she left, Kerri-Anne was upset that she quit within the show’s first week, but she “loved” camp life with some of the “fabulous” famous faces.

“I’m very disappointed that I couldn’t stay,” she said, adding that the challenges were exhausting.

Kerri-Anne admitted she’d never camped before and “never wanted to” until she entered the jungle, but noted she’d learned a lot about camping life.

She also addressed Dom’s “hurtful” comments before her exit.

“I’m a tough old bird, but that doesn’t mean what people say isn’t hurtful,” she added.

“I also just wanted the camp to know that I’m not a terrible person.” But you can’t regret it because that’s not how life works.”

After just four days in the South African jungle, the TV veteran’s time on the series came to an end.

The drama began when Kerri-Anne and Domenica, along with former Australian Idol judge Ian “Dicko” Dickson and radio host Woody Whitelaw, took part in an eating challenge in which they had to eat different animal testicles in order to make dinner for the remainder to win group.

The challenge involved spinning a tennis racket in the middle of a table and whoever it landed on had to enjoy one of the jungle delights.

At the end of the challenge, the team was offered 13 stars if everyone ate the ball of a kudu, a type of large antelope.

But Kerri-Anne had none of it, even after the celebrities told her it “tasted like meatballs” and “wasn’t that bad.”

This caused Dom to see red after biting into it, and Kerri-Anne refused.

“Miss Tall Contract Lady: ‘Can’t tell me what to do.'” “I don’t want your (makeup), I don’t want your Revlon 1989 lipstick, dolly,” she raged.

“It’s not fair – it’s not fair to anyone in there who actually tries.” Why are you here brother? Really really, why are you here?!’

She then accused the Studio 10 star of not showing respect and decency to anyone but herself.

“Literally no respect or decency for anyone but myself.” “I’ve never met anyone so self-centered in my life,” Dom continued.

When she returned to camp, Kerri-Anne said Dom’s “mistreatment” was “overwhelming.”

“You have to call her the most self-absorbed bitch she’s ever met.” And the contract queen over and over again. I would have been done [the challenge]if she had finished. “It could never have happened,” she said through tears.

Kerri-Anne was upset at having to take three exams in a row, then told her housemates she was leaving.

“I made a choice, it was a hard decision.” Because I’d like to stay. But it will never work. I found it very unfair. “I got three exams in a row,” she said.

It was later revealed that Dom also called KAK a “shit” for refusing to take part in an eating challenge – although that moment was cut from the show.

Speaking to News.com.au, Dom said she privately asked the producers to forward her apology to Kerri-Anne.
