Despite having had a challenging year with the contentious divorce battle, the mother-of-three, who just received almost $130,000 a month in child support, seems in high spirits as she soaks up the sun on vacation.

Amid the recent commotion and media attention surrounding her and Costner’s ongoing divorce drama, the former model and handbag designer could be seen smiling from ear to ear and having a good time at the beach in Hawaii on Thursday.

The 49-year-old looked sun-kissed as she strolled along the sandy beach with her hair highlighted. At one point, the doting mum stopped to take selfies with her 13-year-old daughter Grace, who wore a similar white bikini.

But after a fun time in the water with her teenage daughter, Baumgartner returned to the lawn chairs in front of the Four Seasons Resort. Previously, she wore a white hat and a tan slouch hat.

As for the hefty change in child support she would get from the “Yellowstone” star, the slim blonde beauty is reportedly “relieved” at the court’s decision. The same does not apply to her ex who would part with the money. Mind you; According to The Blast, Costner’s divorce proceedings have taken several turns.

The multi-talented star initially won a petition to have his estranged wife move out of the marital home after she filed for divorce – per a clause in their prenuptial agreement. However, on Tuesday, July 11, she was approved to receive a lump sum payment as monthly child support.

The German-American designer had originally requested a monthly payment of $248,000, or “alternatively at the benchmark rate of $217,300,” payable on the first day of each month. She also demanded that the Dances With Wolves star pay 100% of the children’s health care, sports, after-school activities and private school fees.

Kevin Costner denied all of these claims, stating in his rebuttal that his ex’s $248,000 child support claim included over $100,000 for cosmetic surgery costs. The papers also indicated that large sums were spent on luxury purchases, legal fees, high credit card bills, and other costs irrelevant to child support.

Ultimately, Judge Thomas Anderle issued a short-term order that “Let Him Go” actor pay Baumgartner $129,755 a month in child support. The Golden Globe Awards winner must also pay $100,000 in forensic costs and $200,000 in legal fees.

In addition, the ex-couple, who have both applied for joint custody of their three children, must cover 50% of their expenses on health care, sports and extracurricular activities. According to court documents reviewed by Fox News, those payments will be made on the “first of each month,” with “amounts paid between July 1 and July 12 being credited.”

The “pre-planned” outing with his daughter and two sons had kept the doting father from appearing in court on Wednesday July 12. His absence came as the Oscar-winning actor had been planning a trip to British Columbia, Canada, with the teenagers months before the court date was adjourned.

As for the ex-couple’s joint custody agreement and why the children are spending unsupervised time with their famous father, the ex-couple’s legal team noted in the papers:

“The kids are teenagers and can go back and forth between his home and Christine’s home once she has found a new home.”
