Bonds was originally scheduled to walk down the aisle with Marshall Glaze, but instinct led her to end their engagement and re-explore her connection to Josh Demas.

Navigating the waters of the series’ innovative premise would eventually land Bonds in hot water after season four released in late March. When fans learned that Bonds had seemingly decided to skip trying on her wedding dress and instead went for coffee with Demas, the reality star was bombarded with negative comments on social media.

Throughout the season, regardless of reception, Bonds offered up her side of the story without apology on her social media.

Weeks after the controversial live reunion began streaming on Netflix, Bonds continue to do the same; In her latest Instagram post, the reality star tries to show the positive and drama-free aspects of her unconventional Love Is Blind journey!

Bonds say Netflix reportedly gave her a day’s notice before the reunion, before advising her not to attend

Bonds and Demas, who revealed they have been dating for a year, were absent from the Season 4 reunion. Vanessa Lachey instead interviewed the couple via a Zoom call.

The duo’s absence was met with a huge response from viewers, who didn’t hesitate to express their feelings on social media; Several fans were unhappy with Bonds’ absence and called out what they saw as cowardly behavior. Others weren’t pleased with how Lachey appeared to be “sparing” the duo, choosing not to address the controversies the Bonds faced during the season, including the aforementioned coffee date. Bonds took to Instagram and revealed that she had split from Glaze before dating Demas.

She later spoke to The Wrap and told the publication that not only did Netflix advise her to speak to a psychologist before filming the reunion, the psychologist reportedly advised the couple not to attend the reunion.

“They called a three-pointer [conference call]and they kind of said, ‘Oh, because of your mental health, we don’t think you should come to the reunion.

Bonds describes the notification as “a two-day processing time. You told us the day before [the reunion].” (per The Wrap, via Us Weekly)

Bonds promised fans she would “take responsibility” for her comments during the reunion

The reality star was aware of the lukewarm reception of her actions on social media during the reunion. After the special, Bonds wrote a lengthy post on her Instagram Stories, promising her followers that she would take “accountability” for her actions and comments throughout the season.

She also thanked her ex-fiancé for denying speculation that she was cheating on him with her current partner.

“I want to start this off by taking responsibility for my actions and words in my relationship between Marshall and myself,” she said. “I also want to take the time to express my gratitude and appreciation for Marshall cleaning up what I did and end the relationship before I meet Josh at the coffee shop. I understand it was a quick transition from one relationship to another, but this relationship didn’t start out like most in the real world. To some, it may seem like it was a quick transition. However, there is only a small percentage of what can be shown on television, and my connection with Josh was far deeper than it would seem from a viewer’s perspective…” she continued on the subject.

Bonds showed social media a more positive side of their experience in an Instagram post on Saturday.

She captioned a collage of Polaroid photos: “22′ Summer of Love. summer of memories This Love Is Blind experience has been one of my most arduous journeys, but the greatest blessing. My mother always told me that you find out who your real soldiers are when your ship goes down. God gives his most brutal battles to his strongest soldiers. I grow and learn every day, give myself time and grace and enjoy my life with my family and friends. I’m excited to see what my future has in store for me [heart emoji]’ concludes Bonds’ post.
