Marco Silva has confirmed he has responded to an offer from Saudi Arabia club Al-Ahli – but wouldn’t say if he turned it down.
The Portugal manager has mooted a deal worth £40million over two seasons from the same club who are ready to sign Riyad Mahrez and Allan Saint-Maximin and have already signed Roberto Firmino this summer.
Silva spoke for the first time about his future here in Philadelphia on Saturday night and refused to definitively end talks about a Craven Cottage departure.
When asked if he had responded to Saudi Arabia’s offer, Silva replied: ‘Yes.’ I responded for my club.’

“I will not speak about the situation,” he said. “I don’t come here to talk about offers. I will not lie to you when I receive an offer. “The club knows that.”
When Silva was previously asked if he would stay at Fulham, he said: “I don’t like to use a lot of words, I prefer to do it with action.” About interest from other clubs and rumors about myself, it’s not the first time.
“Last time an official offer, also last season, two or three times and I haven’t talked about that situation. I run actions daily and have shown my commitment every time since I joined the association. “My commitment to the club is clear.”
Meanwhile, Silva confirmed that Aleksander Mitrovic is not training with the team due to an offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal. The striker has traveled here to the USA for the pre-season tour, although he didn’t want to.
Silva said: “Let’s talk clearly about Mitrovic’s situation. It’s not the ideal scenario.” As you know, he won’t play tomorrow (against Brentford). He didn’t play last Wednesday. He doesn’t work properly with his teammates and when I say it’s not the ideal scenario, that’s the situation.
