Mark Edward Fischbach, also known as Markiplier, is an American YouTuber. He is one of the most popular gaming YouTubers and was listed by Forbes as the third highest paid content creator on the platform in 2022. In addition, Edward has four Streamy Awards and a Golden Joystick Award for Best Streamer/Broadcaster.

Edward was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended and graduated from Milford High School in 2007 before transferring to the University of Cincinnati. Markiplier was studying to become a biometrics engineer when he dropped out to pursue a career in the internet world. He created his first YouTube channel in March 2012 and uploaded his first video in April of the same year.
