Met Gala 2023: Karlie Kloss reveals her blossoming belly on the way to an afterparty

Walking the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala in New York on Monday night, she announced her second pregnancy in true A-list style.

And Karlie Kloss gave her blossoming baby bump a second appearance when, after donning a sheer mini dress, she rushed from the Metropolitan Museum of Art to an afterparty.

The 30-year-old supermodel opted for a short mesh dress with a fitted waist.

The runway queen teamed her look with a pair of black ankle boots and complemented it with a floral choker, diamond earrings and a clutch bag.

Karlie wore her dark locks slicked back and opted for natural makeup to show off her modeling look as she headed to the party with her businessman husband Joshua Kushner, 37,

The model showed off her baby bump as she walked the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala in New York earlier in the evening.

The dress code for the 2023 fashion extravaganza was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, paying tribute to the controversial fashion designer, who died of complications from pancreatic cancer in February 2019 at the age of 85.

The beauty wore a stunning skin-tight black dress that hugged her curves and was embellished with white pearl necklaces.

For Karlie and Joshua, who accompanied her to the event, it will be the second child after giving birth to their first child – son Levi, who is now two years old – in March 2021.

Kloss discussed the “special” and “vulnerable” revelation with Emma Chamberlain as she walked the red carpet.

“I don’t know how to style a belly,” she said, sharing that her last pregnancy was during the coronavirus pandemic.

Karlie also took to Instagram to show off her preparation for the event.

In a clip posted to her Stories, Karlie was seen wearing a cozy white robe, prepping her skin with a purple light Therabody machine.

She also posted a sweet snap of her baby son grabbing her stomach as she gets ready.

Another clip showed the makeup she would wear for the occasion.

She also shared a mirror selfie she took in a bathroom while getting ready for the big night.

Karlie and Joshua – whose brother and sister-in-law are Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump – were first spotted hanging out together during an after-party for the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

They waited a full year before making their first public appearance as a couple. The duo officially publicized their relationship on Instagram in 2014.

Although the two floated rumors of an engagement in 2017, they initially scrapped the idea before deciding to start planning their marriage the following year, with Karlie converting to Judaism.

The couple made their union official during a wedding ceremony in October 2018 and hosted a second event in June 2019.

In October 2020, multiple sources reported that the two were planning to have a child in their life.

The supermodel later confirmed she was pregnant with a video shared to Instagram the following month, in which she showed off her then-growing baby bump.

In March 2021, she gave birth to Levi Joseph.
