Killed with a hangover: Murdering orderly sentenced to 15 years

He wanted to “sedate” his patients because he was drunk: In Munich, a male nurse goes to prison for a long time for murder.
Berlin. Again and again a nurse in a Munich clinic got drunk before his shift. And because his patients overwhelmed the drunk man, he said he wanted to “quiet” them. The injections he gave them killed two people.
Because of the two murders and the young man had to answer for a total of six attempted murders before the Munich I Regional Court. That saw his guilt as proven and sentenced him to 15 years in prison on Monday.
The verdict followed the request of the public prosecutor’s office and recognized a particular severity of the guilt. Therefore, the murdering orderly will most likely not be released before the deadline. The requirement for a subsequent preventive detention the court, however, regarded it as unfounded.
In addition to the prison sentence, the presiding judge Norbert Riedmann imposed a lifelong professional ban. The well-known publicist Hans Magnus Enzensberger was one of the surviving victims in the Munich clinic on the right bank of the Isar.

27-year-old double killer sedated patients because he was annoyed
The 27-year-old had admitted all allegations against himself and admitted: “Since I drunk There was only one option for me: to sedate her.” The nurse, who had only been in the clinic for a few months in autumn 2020, regularly sedated newly operated patients in the recovery room with anesthetics and stimulants. A young doctor was on the unnatural attention to the accumulation of emergencies and had triggered the suspected case.

During the trial, the defendant openly admitted that he had no interest in the well-being of his patients. However, he apologized for his crimes at the beginning of the trial and after the verdict was pronounced. The plea of his defense for accommodation in a rehab the court refused.
