My son’s death ended my 12 year rift with Wizkid – Davido

Nigerian Afrobeat superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that during the ordeal of losing his son Ifeanyi Adeleke, he was comforted by fellow music superstar Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, who is known to everyone Day with him on the phone week.

Davido made the announcement in an interview on the Hot FM Morning Show in New York on Saturday, explaining that his 12-year feud with Wizkid ended abruptly during their weekly talks.

In the video, he said: “With Wiz we’ve had a rift over the years, 12 years we’ve had a rift until he recently spoke and I see the positivity.

“I see the change in the industry a bit because everyone is calming down, especially in my situation; After the tragic situation that happened, he has called me every week since it happened,” he added.

Remember that Davido and his fiancée Chioma Rowland lost their only son Ifeanyi in November 2022 shortly after celebrating his third birthday.

It was reported that the boy drowned in a pool at his father’s house on Banana Island and was taken to a hospital in Lekki, where he was pronounced dead.
