Paderborn. SC Paderborn has ended its negative series in the 2nd Bundesliga. After a turbulent second half, the team of coach Lukas Kwasniok won 3:2 (1:0) against SpVgg Greuther Fürth, who were in twelfth place in the table.
The gap to third-placed Hamburger SV is seven points. Despite an exciting final sprint, the guests from Franconia could not avoid their sixth away defeat in a row.
Ron Schallenberg (13th minute), Florent Muslija (61st) and Sirlord Conteh (76th) scored for Paderborn, Abiama (82nd) and Hrgota (87th) shortened the final sprint for Fürth. Due to the victories of Bielefeld and Magdeburg in the parallel games, Fürth is only four points behind the relegation zone. The Fürth team, who played with Leon Schaffran in goal for the sick Andreas Linde, played well, but only managed to win after being 3-0 down.
