Poco F5 should be Xiaomi’s new advanced intermediate, being one of the first in the world with Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 on board
Xiaomi is expected to unveil its newest advanced mid-range phones soon, with the arrival of the Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro. Now, the duo’s simplest model has been confirmed, and its processor has been revealed.
The official profile of Snapdragon in India confirmed in a post on Twitter that the Poco F5 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2, a platform announced in March with similar performance to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Despite not giving a specific prediction, the fact that teasers have started to emerge already indicates that the novelty is close to its official launch. It should be India’s first device with this chipset.
Poco F5 Global was also found in test
The MySmartPrice portal found the global variant of the new smartphone in a test on Geekbench, one of the main benchmark platforms today, where some features were revealed.
Here, the device appeared with the model number 23049PCD8G, relying precisely on the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 onboard. The chipset has eight cores, four of them clocked at 1.8 GHz, another three clocked at 2.5 GHz and a high-performance clock at 2.92 GHz.
It must be accompanied by 12 GB of RAM memory, and there may be other variants in its ad, running the factory Android 13 operating system. With this set, the Poco F5 was able to register 1,629 points in the single-core test and another 4,295 points when the full power of the set was required, reaffirming the power that comes close to many flagships launched in 2022.
Unfortunately, there is no information regarding the official launch date of the new Poco F5 and F5 Pro, for now. However, considering the amount of information about the duo that has already emerged, Xiaomi is likely to introduce the line to the world very soon.
