The Volleyball Women’s Super League had its first semifinalist defined this Monday. At Arena Dentil, in Uberlândia (MG), Praia Clube won Barueri again, this time by 3 sets to 0, with partials of 25/22, 25/21 and 25/22, and qualified for the next phase. The first meeting between the teams in the quarterfinals playoff was won by 3 sets to 1 by Minas Gerais.
The spiker Kasiely, from Praia Clube, received the VivaVôlei award, being elected the best player on the court. Fellow Anne Bujis was the highest scorer of the match, with 16 points scored.
With the result, the team that was leader in the qualifying phase confirmed its favoritism, opened 2-0 in the best-of-three series and secured itself in the semifinals. Barueri, in turn, was eighth in the first part of the competition.
Now, Praia Clube awaits the winner of the clash between Sesc-Flamengo and Fluminense to meet its opponent in the search for a place in the big decision. The red-black side of the confrontation has the advantage after winning the first game by 3 sets to 0. The teams face each other again this Tuesday, at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), at Ginásio do Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) ).
