The Godfather II actor, 79, who announced in May that he had given birth to his seventh child and first with partner Tiffany Chen, 45, was asked on the Today show with Hoda Kotb, how he feels about his old friend and ‘ Heat’ co-star Al is having a baby aged 83 with his 29-year-old girlfriend Noor Alfallah.
De Niro said he was “very happy” for Al, who also starred in Martin Scorsese’s “Irishman,” adding, “He’s a few years older than me.” God bless him.”
When 58-year-old Hoda asked the Raging Bull star about fatherhood in his “old age,” the Oscar winner said he had “a certain awareness” about parenting.
He added: “As you get older you become more aware of certain things in life and the dynamics. Everything, family dynamics.
“There’s no getting around learning certain things and then learning how to deal with them, manage them and this and that.”
De Niro – also father of Drena, 51, Raphael, 46, twins Julian and Aaron, 37, and 25-year-old Elliot – responded by receiving an orange Today onesie, which he proudly held for his youngest daughter, Gia . at home.
Al has yet to comment on Noor’s pregnancy, but it has been reported that he has requested a paternity test to verify that he is the father of his girlfriend Noor Alfallah’s baby.
The Godfather actor, whose 29-year-old partner reportedly found out two months ago that she was expecting his fourth child, is said to have believed he would not be able to become a father due to a medical condition that typically leads to infertility.
TMZ also reported that Noor took the test that proved he was the father.
Al is said to have been “shocked” when he found out he was going to be a father again.
Page Six said the actor “declined to comment” when asked about the TMZ report.
On May 30, it was announced that Al and Noor were expecting a child together. According to TMZ, she is eight months pregnant.
The actor and Noor – Sir Mick Jagger’s ex-girlfriend – first sparked relationship rumors in April 2022 when they were spotted dining together at Felix Trattoria in Venice, California.
Insiders have told Page Six they have been together since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The outlet source said she “dates mostly older men,” adding, “She’s been dating Al for a while and they get along really well.”
“The age difference doesn’t seem to be an issue despite being older than her father.”
It’s reportedly unclear if the couple is still together. An insider told Showbiz411 that they were “not in a relationship.”
Al’s other children are daughter Julie, 33, who he had with Jan Tarrant, and twins Olivia and son Anton, 22, who he had with Beverly D’Angelo, but it appears this is Noor’s first child.
