São Paulo releases immunization for people over 40

The City Hall of São Paulo announced this Tuesday, the 2nd, that it has expanded the eligible public for the bivalent vaccine Against the Covid-19. People over 40 years old will be able to get the updated Pfizer injection from this Wednesday, 3rd, at the São Paulo capital’s posts.

According to the municipal administration, people who have completed the basic scheme or who have already received one or two booster doses can receive the immunizer, respecting the four-month interval of the most recent one.

Previously, the updated vaccine was available for people aged 50 years or older, as well as people over 12 years of age with immunosuppression or comorbidities, indigenous people, pregnant and puerperal women, residents in long-stay institutions and employees of these equipment, health professionals, people with permanent physical disability, population deprived of liberty and employees of the prison system, and homeless population. Until Friday, the 28th, the capital administered more than 1.24 million bivalent injections.

The “xepa” is still available for people over 18 years old, previously registered in the Basic Health Unit (UBS) of reference, in case there are remaining doses at the end of the day.

The vaccine is available at the UBSs and Outpatient Medical Assistance (AMAs)/Integrated UBSs from Monday to Friday, from 7am to 7pm, and on Saturdays at the AMAs/Integrated UBSs, also from 7am to 7pm.
