São Paulo squad gets time off and will have two training sessions before picking up Ituano

This Saturday, the São Paulo squad got a break after the victory against Tigre, in the debut of the Sul-Americana, 2-0. The group had its return to Brazil postponed last Friday due to problems with its aircraft, and was forced to spend another day at the hotel in Buenos Aires.

With that, Rogério Ceni will have only two training sessions before the first leg for the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, against Ituano. Players should return to activities this Sunday, at CT da Barra Funda. This is the start of a gaming marathon.

From the match for the national competition, São Paulo will play ten matches, for three different competitions (Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Brasileiro and Sudamericana), including a derby against Corinthians. Thus, Ceni will have a free week only in the second half of May.

For the match against Ituano, the São Paulo captain will have defender Diego Costa and striker Calleri at his disposal, both serving suspensions against Tigre. The Argentine should win the dispute against Erison, who scored the two goals of the triumph in Sudamericana. While the defender can compose the defense trio in place of Alan Franco.

The clash against the team from the interior of São Paulo will take place this Tuesday, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Estádio do Morumbi. The return is scheduled for the next 25th, at 21:30, at Estádio Municipal Doutor Novelli Júnior.
