Schalke’s Zalazar doesn’t care about the Dortmund invitation

Gelsenkirchen. Schalke’s Rodrigo Zalazar reacted reservedly to the invitation from Dortmund’s Mayor Thomas Westphal to Schalke Schützenhilfe for BVB in the championship race.

“We’re going to Munich to win for Schalke and our fans. I want to stay up in the league together with the team, I don’t care about the rest,” said the 23-year-old from the media group “Münchner Merkur/tz”.

Westphal recently said, according to “WAZ”: “If FC Schalke 04 beats FC Bayern next weekend and BVB becomes champions, then I’ll invite the current Schalke team to the town hall so that they can sign Dortmund’s golden book.” Schalke, threatened with relegation, will play against the Bundesliga leaders from Munich on Saturday. FC Bayern’s lead over BVB is currently one point. Schalke and Dortmund are arch rivals in the Ruhr area.
