Iyabo Ojo, a well-known actress from Nigeria, has accepted APC member Sulaimon Olamide’s apology for the insult during the election campaign.

In a widely shared video, the former APC National Youth Leader nominee sobbed inconsolably and claimed the politicians who forced him to attack opponents had all failed him.

You may recall that the young man threatened Iyabo because he was backing Labor Party’s Peter Obi as presidential candidate and not Bola Tinubu, who was running for the APC.

According to Sulaimon, the mother of the two betrayed the Yorubas by supporting an opposing cause. He further claimed that she sleeps with powerful men for payment.

“Iyabo Ojo, you are an Ashawo, you sleep with other people’s husbands and you are a traitor,” he had said.

In a new video posted online, he claimed that he was terribly ill and had no more than 5 naira in his bank account.

Sulaimon, speaking in Yoruba, urged Nigerians to help him because the politicians he worked for stopped answering his calls.

He said; “All APC politicians have failed me even though they know I am very ill at the moment. Mommy Iyabo Ojo I’m sorry and Nigerians please stop insulting me in comment sections. The insults affect my brain.

All APC politicians I’ve helped stop dialing my phone calls please, the election is already over and all I need from you now is your prayers and support. I am terribly ill now and face many challenges in life”.

Iyabo broke the silence on the matter, taking pity on Suleimon and praying that God would restore his health. She asked a popular blog to get his account details so she could support him.

The film star also called on Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to address the plight of the APC youth leader.

She wrote; “His spirit and soul are well, may God restore his health, happiness and hope…[email protected], please help send his account details to my dm if you can. My wonderful people, please please please let us help him. If you can, depression is real…. may he find healing and peace of mind… and @jidesanwoolu he needs your help more and now please take care of him.”
