Actor was discharged from the 12th hospitalization in rehabilitation clinic
Sergio Hondjakoff, Cabeção from the teen soap opera Malhação, reflected on drug addiction after being discharged from a rehabilitation clinic last Sunday, the 30th.
“On my days off I smoked [maconha], do not go out to practice a sport. I started to get very depressed, sleepy, drowsy, drinking coffee, that’s when I got to know cocaine. I was 15 years old, I was doing a play”, he said in an interview with Fofocalizando.
According to him, the first time he used drugs was at the age of 13 and the problem with addiction intensified after his fame. “When I started doing Malhação, I started to have a little money, every three months I used cocaine, my mother found out. The third time I used it, she noticed, my father too. They were very sad. It was an escape from reality,” he said.
“What happened was I had a lot of scenes to memorize, I didn’t have time to go to a psychiatrist, so the quickest way I had to get motivated was to turn to drugs,” he revealed.
Then, the actor apologized to fans and family members who have followed his career since the beginning. “I want to tell them not to worry about me that I’m going to be fine, it’s going to be all right from now on,” he said.
“I want to apologize to people who are evangelicals, who remember me with a nostalgic memory. I apologize for associating such a heavy topic with my image. And for people who already know about my past, I also apologize,” he said.
