According to the New Mexico State Police, the scene is still active. Officials did not provide any information about the cause of the shooting.

An officer reportedly said the shooting involved the Banditos Motorcycle Club – an outlaw club – and there was a “continuous shooting,” according to Taos News.

The Albuquerque Journal originally reported that the shooting took place at the Motherlode Saloon in Red River, but the bar took to Facebook to deny it and confirm that the serious incident did not take place there.

According to the event schedule, bikers should be expected at the Bull O’ the Woods Saloon for a live music event by Warning Shot.

Red River was placed on lockdown after the incident and police are reportedly looking for a group of bikers, The Sun reported.

More than 25,000 bikers were expected to attend the rally in the city this weekend.

The event is scheduled to take place from May 25th to 29th. Several vendors sell groceries, leather, and lace, among other things.
