Star Wars and Marvel star dies: Ray Stevenson is dead

Northern Irish actor Ray Stevenson (“Rome”, “The Boat”) is dead. His agency confirmed on Monday that he died on the Italian island of Ischia on Sunday.

The agency did not provide any further information. Stevenson was 58 years old. The industry magazine “Deadline” recently reported that Stevenson will play the leading role in the film “Cassino in Ischia”.

Ray Stevenson has starred in several Marvel films

Stevenson had his breakthrough as an actor with a leading role as a Roman legionnaire in the TV series “Rome” (2005-2007), later he was among other things in several “Thor” film adaptations as Volstagg, one of the best friends of the eponymous Marvel hero see.
