Starfield is a new video game made by Bethesda Game Studios. It was first talked about in 2018. The game happens in space and is the first new idea from Bethesda in a very long time. It came out on September 6, 2023, for Windows computers and Xbox Series X/S.
Critics who review games mostly liked Starfield. They liked the big world you can explore, the space setting, and the music. Prior to the official launch of the game on September 6, PureDark, a modder, released a free mod to incorporate DLSS 2 into Starfield.
PureDark also introduced another mod, DLSS 3 with frame generation, but this one wasn’t free, and it came with DRM protection, which caused some controversy in the gaming community. Shortly after its release, the DRM for the DLSS 3 mod was successfully bypassed.

Starfield Vectera Planet Walkthrough
Here’s a simplified walkthrough for the “Back to Vectera” mission in Starfield:
In the game Starfield, the “Back to Vectera” mission is a captivating adventure that unfolds on the planet Vectera, part of the Bessel III system. This mission becomes available after completing The Old Neighborhood, The Empty Nest, and Into the Unknown as part of the main story.
To initiate the mission, speak to Sarah at the end of The Old Neighborhood, and she’ll direct you to find Barrett, setting you on the path to Vectera. Landing on Vectera requires traveling to the Narion System and returning to the Argos Extractors Mining Outpost.
Upon landing, you’ll meet Lin, who informs you of increased pirate activity and the capture of Barrett and Heller. Lin’s mission is to help you find them, but the comms computer is inoperative, prompting you to fix it.
To repair the comms computer, follow the objectives to obtain 3 Power Cells, which are scattered around the Control Room area. Once the computer is operational, you can access an Emergency Transmission from Barrett and Heller, and share this information with Lin.
An optional objective lets you recruit Lin as part of your crew, expanding your capabilities in the game. Afterward, your journey continues as you’re directed to a randomly generated planet, where you’ll land at the site of a crashed ship.
As you explore this new location, you’ll encounter challenges and traps set by pirates. Your primary goal is to locate Barrett and Heller, who will provide you with crucial information through an Emergency Transmission 02.
Upon receiving this transmission, you’ll be directed to travel to Bessel III in the Bessel system, where you’ll land at the Ransacked Research Outpost.
The final leg of the mission involves rescuing Barrett from the Crimson Fleet. You’ll face various obstacles, including hostile forces and locked doors. Once inside, a choice awaits you during a conversation with Matsura the Grim, where you can decide to pay a ransom, persuade the Crimson Fleet, use your companion, or resort to force.
Successfully completing the mission allows you to return to the Lodge and enter the Library, where you can finalize your objectives and move forward in the game.
In Starfield, players will immerse themselves in an expansive action role-playing experience set in an open-world environment within the Milky Way galaxy. The game offers a seamless transition between first-person and third-person perspectives, allowing players to choose their preferred viewpoint at any time.
With a vast universe at their disposal, players can explore over 1,000 planets, numerous moons, and space stations, both fictional and inspired by real-life celestial bodies. The game’s landscapes are primarily procedurally generated, with handcrafted content enhancing the planetary experiences.
Players will encounter diverse non-playable characters (NPCs) during their journey, some of whom may become part of the player’s crew, aiding in various ways such as combat support, item carrying, and dialogue interactions.
These NPCs may offer insights and comments based on the player’s choices, adding depth to the game’s narrative. Additionally, some NPCs are available for romantic relationships, enriching the player’s social interactions.
