The Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) denounced Athletico for the fan who imitated monkey against Flamengo fans. The episode, by the way, happened on May 7, when , in the upset, at Arena da Baixada, for the fourth round of the Brazilian Championship.

The Hurricane was framed in article 243-G of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice (CBJD). The norm deals, therefore, with “practicing a discriminatory, disdainful or outrageous act, in relation to prejudice on the grounds of ethnic origin, race, sex, color, age, condition of being an elderly person or having a disability”.
The judgment of the case by the 3rd Disciplinary Committee of the entity will take place on May 31, from 10 am. Athletico can receive a fine that varies between R$ 100 and R$ 100 thousand. According to the CBJD, the club can only lose points if the racist practice occurs “by a considerable number of people who are linked to the same sporting entity”.
The reporting auditor is Claudio Roberto Lopez Diniz. The fan, author of the racist gesture, can receive as a punishment the impediment to access the Arena da Baixada for 720 days. The identification of the man occurred due to the help of the club’s security cameras.
