After a swimming accident in Löhne, northeast of Bielefeld, a man is in mortal danger. The 30-year-old went down in the Werre river while swimming on Sunday, the police said on Monday. A police officer jumped into the water and pulled the man out.

Rescue workers resuscitated the 30-year-old. They took him to a hospital. Witnesses called the fire department. Several media reported on the swimming accident.
