The season finale of Hallmark Channel’s new series The way home just aired and we finally learned the identity of the White Witch.
The series is a family drama with a unique time-travel twist, centered on three generations of Landry women: Del (Andie MacDowell), her daughter Kat (Chyler Leigh) and Kat’s daughter Alice (Sadie LaFlamme Snow).
If you remember, the series began with a woman running through the woods to the pond in 1814, trying to outrun a group with fire sticks in hand. She suddenly stops and whispers something towards the pond before jumping in.
The moment occurred in 1814 that foreshadowed the revelation that the Landry family set foot in the Port Haven area that same year. Del also has the family almanac of that date. The woman who stepped in is also deeply rooted in the city’s history.

Kat (Chyler Leigh) is the White Witch!
In the closing moments of the finale, she tied all the dots about Jacob’s disappearance. He had gone out again to chase the dog and they both went into the pond.
The witch’s revelation came moments later and took place in 1814, and is believed to have found Jacob traveling back in time that year.
