Everything was definitely not better in the past. For the sake of romance, it’s sometimes worth wallowing in a little nostalgia – for example on a ride on the historic Ferris wheel. This is possible on the Pentecost weekend at “Once Upon a Time”, the special fair at the Zollern colliery in Dortmund.

Steampunk Market

Anyone who prefers things futuristic to nostalgic will also get their money’s worth here: with many steampunk exhibitors and the steampunk market, the fair is also a popular attraction for the steampunk scene with its unusual costumes, which mix historical and futuristic elements. Lots of shows and artists provide additional entertainment.

There is enough to amaze on this date. “Once Upon a Time” takes place from Saturday (May 27) to Monday (May 29) at Zeche Zollern in Dortmund-Bövinghausen. Admission costs 16 euros for adults, which includes admission to the museum and all shows. If you come with steampunk or similar disguise, you pay 13 euros admission.
