Ugochi Iloka is an American news journalist working for the KHOU 11 News team as a reporter. In October 2021, she joined the KHOU 11 News staff. On weekday mornings and around noon, you may see her reporting.
Iloka began her journalism career at KRIV FOX 26 as a tv news intern. She then joined Huntsville Tv News 7 in May 2009 where she worked as an Evening Anchor, Day Reporter, and Local Block Producer. In July 2011, Iloka joined The Mergis Group where she was the Temp Assistant. She was also an on-air web talent for CD3 Media.
Ugochi joined KHBS-TV 40 in January 2013 as a TV News Reporter. After three years, she joined WBRC FOX 6 News team. She reports live for Good Day Alabama in the mornings from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. on weekdays.
While at WBRC, she has covered stories such as the Covid-19 outbreak scare caused by over 5000 college students who swarmed the streets of Tuscaloosa, after the National college football championship game. She has also interviewed former Alabama Governor Robert Bentley since he resigned from office.
