Wanda Sykes goes way back with other comic colleagues Dave Chappellebut she makes it clear that she doesn’t support his anti-trans rhetoric.

The 59-year-old stand-up comedian has spoken out about laws banning trans women from women’s restrooms.

“I knew it was such a sensitive subject to talk about. I’m not trans, but they have my 100 percent support,” she said.

“I wanted to find something that I could use to shed some light on what they’re going through to show how stupid and hateful it really is.” Wanda told diversity. “I was in a woman’s bathroom once and thought, ‘Who would want to come in here?’ It was like looking at the men’s room. Sometimes it’s even cleaner.” And that’s how it all started. I’ve always been disgusted with toilets.”
