Warnbro kidnapping: Man charged after 9-year-old was allegedly lured into car in Perth

A man has been charged with allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a nine-year-old girl while she was at school in a Perth suburb.
Ryan Ashley Darken, 37, has been charged with four charges following the Warnbro, south town incident, including detention of another with intent to deter/disable a person from committing an act, false imprisonment and assault.
A parent from the school reportedly noticed the girl board a silver subway train around 8.45am on Friday before she was later found in distress, barefoot and with zip ties on her hands outside a nearby supermarket.
The parent who allegedly saw the girl get on the subway immediately became suspicious and alerted the school, prompting a large police operation as her whereabouts could not be established.
Darken is expected to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday.
