“We’re Friends Now” – Davido opens up about relationship with Burna Boy

Nigerian Afrobeat superstar David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, has revealed the relationship status between himself and Burna Boy.

He made this revelation during his interview with Hot 97 Ebro FM that he and Burna Boy get along well.

He noted that they were long-time friends and that when he dropped “Timeless,” Burna called to congratulate him, including Wizkid.

Speaking about the unity among Afrobeats artists, the Omo Baba Olowo crooner said: “Afrobeats [artists] We are in unity. I spoke to Burna [Boy]. He called me. He calls me too, but we didn’t really talk like that.

When asked if he plans to resolve his issues with Burna Boy, Davido said, “I think I definitely would. He [Burna Boy] called me. wizard [Kid] called me. And funnily enough, me and Burna used to be very close. Very, very close.”

He also revealed that the alleged fight that was reported about him and Burna in Ghana was not the case, specifically him and the African Gaint; Instead, the people in their wake turned on each other.

He said: “Funnily enough, it wasn’t even us. It was our people [team]. It was crazy because we weren’t even involved in it.”
