Asake’s career in music began in 2017 when he started releasing songs while studying Theatre and Dramatic Arts at Nigeria’s Obafemi Awolowo University. However, his breakthrough came in 2022 when he released the single “Mr. Money,” followed by a remix featuring Zlatan and Peruzzi. In the same year, he signed with Olamide’s YBNL Records and released his debut extended play, “Ololade,” featuring the hit track “Omo Ope” with Olamide. He later signed a distribution deal with Empire.
Asake’s rise continued with the release of his debut studio album, “Mr. Money with the Vibe,” in September 2022.
