Nima Momeni Bob Lee
Momeni is the alleged killer of Bob Lee. According to San Francisco Police Chief William Scott the two knew each other but he did not reveal the nature of their relationship or why they were together that night. It is alleged that in the late hours of April 4, they were purportedly driving together through downtown San Francisco in a car registered to Momeni. It is alleged that the two has a confrontation while they were both in the vehicle and potentially continued after Lee exited the car. Police allege that Momeni stabbed Lee multiple times with a knife that was recovered not far from the spot on the 300 block of Main Street to which officers initially responded.
Bob Lee was stabbed multiple times on April 4, 2023 in the 300 block of Main Street in the Rincon Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. CCTV footage shows a wounded Lee stumbling to a parked car with its hazard lights on and lifting his shirt to show his wound; the car immediately drove away, after which Lee collapsed on the ground. The police arrived 6 minutes later after he made a 911 call and found him unconscious. He was taken to a local hospital but later died from the injuries.
Nima Momeni Arrest
Nima was arrested on April 13, 2023 at around 5 a.m at his apartment in Emeryville. He was booked at 9 a.m. on suspicion of murder. He will be arraigned in court on April 14 and charged with first degree murder.
He has previous priors as in 2011 he was arrested and charged in Alameda County for allegedly selling a switchblade and driving with a suspended license, and was fined and sentenced to 10 days in jail. In 2008 he was arrested and charged with driving under influence to which he pleaded no contest and was sentenced to six days jail time. In 2013, he was arrested due to driving with a suspended license and pleaded no contest. He was fined $154 and had to take a class.
