Who is Replacing James Corden on The Late Late Show?
According to Deadline, The Late Late Show, hosted by James Corden, will reportedly not be replaced and will come to an end after three decades. While no official statement has been made, it is said that CBS has decided to replace the show’s 12:30 a.m. time slot with a reboot of @midnight, a series that previously aired on Comedy Central from 2013-17. Stephen Colbert has reportedly signed on as executive producer for the reboot.
CBS CEO George Cheeks have stated that Corden’s departure presents an opportunity to mix up the Late Night format and that they will take the time to consider the right replacement format instead of just putting in another host. Although they will enjoy Corden’s final year, CBS will focus on determining the ideal format for the time slot.

Why is James Corden Leaving Show?
In an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show on January 3, 2023, James Corden revealed that he is leaving The Late Late Show for several reasons. He explained that he and his wife, Julia Carey, want their children to experience life in London after spending some of their lives in the United States.
Additionally, he wants to end his time on the show while it is still successful and exciting, rather than waiting until it becomes stale. Corden emphasized that he loves the show and the environment in which he works, but he knew all along that it was just one adventure in his career and not his final destination.
Although it was not an easy decision, leaving the show ultimately felt like the right choice for him and his family.
Who is James Corden?
James Corden is a multi-talented English actor, comedian, singer, writer, producer, and television host, born on August 22, 1978. He gained popularity in the UK for co-writing and starring in the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey, which won him the BAFTA Television Award for Best Comedy Performance.
In the US, he became known as the host of The Late Late Show with James Corden, which aired on CBS from 2015 to 2023. Apart from his successful TV career, Corden has also ventured into music and film.
He collaborated with grime artist Dizzee Rascal on the UK No.1 single “Shout,” which was an unofficial anthem of the England football team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
