The “Young and the Restless” star suffered from prostate problems after knee surgery. “I think that might be good for some older guys who might or might not listen to it. It’s going to happen to them,” he explained. “Your prostate gets bigger as you get older.” The actor received treatment to improve urination, during which a specialist at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles examined his bladder and discovered cancer.
Braeden then underwent surgery to remove a tumor from his prostate and urethral surgery to relieve pressure in the area. However, his biopsy results later showed high-grade cancer cells. Braeden, who recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of The Young and the Restless, assured his followers that he’s undergoing immunotherapy, is taking it easy, but is still working – something he finds immense joy in doing.
