KARACHI: What is better than watching the King of Bollywood on your screen? The answer to that question is simple: watching Shah Rukh Khan on screen with his son Aryan Khan. The
father-son duo recently collaborated for the latter’s newest venture, a clothing brand called D’Yavol.
The TVC for the clothing brand is a little over a minute long and features the
younger Khan as he scribbles something on a blackboard and then erases it in frustration. He pens down “timeless” and “quintessential” but neither bode well with him and he walks away. Not soon long after Aryan Khan walks off does Shah Rukh Khan make his appearance. He picks up the brush, makes an X on the board and walks away with a knowing smile. Smack in the middle of the board, amongst various scribbles is the word D’Yavol written clear as day. Not only has the younger Khan made his acting cameo, he directed the advertisement as well!
The brand itself has been marketed as, “A limited release streetwear brand, established by Aryan Khan, Leti Blagoeva and Bunty Singh as part of the multi-category D’YAVOL luxury collective.” He also revealed that, “It’s been nearly 5 years since the conception of this lifestyle luxury collective. D’Yavol is finally here.” Suhana Khan also shared behind the scene pictures of her brother as he stood behind the camera directing the advertisement.
While Aryan Khan made his acting and directing debut under Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment banner, there is still a lot in store for the 25-year-old. He is currently working on two projects as a writer. Both, the web-series and the feature film, are being co-written by Bilal Siddiqi and will be released under Red Chillies Entertainment.
